DataInherit iPhone password safe in the cloud now also with Offline Mode - The best of both worlds
Zurich, Switzerland – 12 August, 2010 – DataInherit, the leading free iPhone online password manager, is now also available offline. Users can always have immediate access to their important passwords and PINs even without having network coverage. DataInherit (http://www.datainherit.com) offers you the best of two worlds: the independence from your mobile network coverage for local applications and flexible access to your online safes from an iPhone or any PC thanks to the unique technology provided by the Swiss online bank, DSwiss Ltd.
“ Many of our iPhone password safe users have had experiences where they needed to query a bank card PIN or an important password but did not have network coverage. This happens not only when they are abroad but also in restaurants or large building complexes. With the new iPhone offline mode this problem is solved,” commented Tobias Christen, CTO at DSwiss.
In addition, offline mode helps users to avoid expensive data roaming charges when they are abroad as the password safe is available locally on the iPhone.
The new offline mode is automatically available to all existing and new customers of DataInherit after an upgrade of their free iPhone app. At the next login a strongly encrypted (AES256) copy of their password safe is stored locally on the iPhone. If there is no network coverage available, the local copy of the password safe will be opened. If network coverage is available again, the app switches automatically back to the online mode.
DataInherit is constantly adding new functionality. In the past few months have also added “ DoubleSec” a worldwide unique secure login method. Also import and export of password lists have been received very positively by DataInherit users.
